Cave

From The Wajas Wiki
(Redirected from Cave Groups)

A cave is where a user keeps his or her wajas. Caves work in a system of size, the bigger the size, the more wajas that can fit. Each time the size is upgraded, this costs a specified amount of WC depending on the size it will be. Caves can also be organized into groups, and various other criteria set by the user.

Organizing your cave

Caves can be organized several different ways, or all of the criteria combined. To set up your cave organization, click home - cave - settings. This should bring up your cave description and how you wish your wajas to be organized. You can put various HTML codes and other things in your cave description, while below there are different waja display options. You will have the option of how many wajas are on one page, how they are displayed on the page, and how these wajas are grouped on the page.

Adult Wajas

This is where you view all of your wajas that are above 12 days old. These wajas will have all of their markings and mutations showing.

Young Wajas

This is where you view all of your wajas that are under 12 days old. After 5 days, they will be showing their base color, but they only show markings and mutations after 12 days. Young wajas are automatically transferred to Adult Wajas when they reach 12 days old.

Retired Wajas

This is where you view all of your retired wajas. The link to retiring a waja is at the bottom of its page- click the tab 'Retire', and then make sure the checkbox is checked before pressing retire. Once a waja is retired you receive 5000WC for it, but you may no longer breed/sell/compete with that waja.

Release Wajas

This is where you can release your wajas and give them to the Obsessed Waja Fan. Releasing wajas is also known as "OWFing" them. You receive 10,000 WC for every waja you release, but this, like retiring, is permanent, so choose carefully. You do not receive any WC for releasing retired wajas as you already received 5,000 WC for retiring them.

Groups

Cave Groups are a useful tool for organizing your wajas. To go to groups, click home - cave - groups. Here you can add, edit, and delete groups for your cave. By clicking on a group's name, you will go to that group in your cave. To add wajas to your groups, go to your cave under the home tab and click "show all" under the groups option on the page. Now check the little box by a waja's image to select it, keeping in mind you can select as many as you want at a time. At the bottom of the page, select which group you would like to put the selected wajas, and submit. You can then visit this group, and the wajas will be displayed there. Alternatively, you can also visit the waja's individual page and apply a group to it from there.

Settings

Name

This is what you want your cave to be called. This will be visible to users visiting your cave.

Cave Size

This is where you can see what size your cave currently is and upgrade it to a larger size if you wish. Cave size is a number that determines the maximum amount of wajas your cave can hold. Each level allows you to hold 5 more wajas. So a cave size of 1 allows a maximum of 5 wajas, a cave size of 20 allows you to hold up to 100 wajas, and so on. To upgrade your cave size, simply set the number to the number you want the size to be. Beneath you will see the message "This upgrade costs $_______ credits, and your cave will hold up to ____ wajas", informing you how many wajas that cave size can hold and how much WC it will cost you to upgrade to that size. If you are satisfied with the number and have the amount of WC on hand for the upgrade, you may now click "submit" at the bottom of the page to permanently upgrade your cave to that size.

Please remember, if your number of wajas exceeds the number that your cave size allows you, random wajas in your cave will begin wandering and will wander away into the OWF's cave permanently if you do not upgrade your cave size within 7 days. See the Wandering Wajas section below for more details.

Cave Description

This is just a general description of your cave and/or yourself. You can put almost anything you want here, as long as it still abides by the site's rules. Examples of what some players put here include but are not limited to: descriptions of themselves, a roleplay-type intro to their cave, details on their breeding projects, wishlists, other sites they're on, and/or any clubs or groups they might be in. Most forms of HTML work in Cave Descriptions.

Cave Rules

This is where you state your rules regarding wajas that you have up for stud/RB. It is also common place to put your breeding policies here (i.e., stating that you will not accept breed requests unless the two wajas share a marking, or that you don't accept requests from related wajas.), as well as your policies regarding waja sales (i.e., stating whether or not you're willing to haggle on the price of your wajas, or whether or not you're willing to do holds).

There are some important things to remember about cave rules:

  • Site rules supersede cave rules. You many not set a cave rule that violates the site rules.
  • Rules regarding what a user does with a waja after they've bought it from you are NOT enforced by mods. The rights to a waja go with that waja when it is sold as per the site rules, and the new owner may do whatever they wish with it. This includes naming, selling, breeding, dying, retiring, releasing, etc.
  • Multiple pup rules ARE enforced by mods unless they are deemed illegible or unclear (such as being written in indecipherable chatspeak or being worded in a way that is misleading or confusing as deemed by the modes), or absolutely unreasonable (such as requiring that all resulting pups go to them when you paid for a stud).

Wandering Wajas

When you own more wajas than your cave size allows, some of them will begin to "wander" outside your cave. If you do not either upgrade your cave size to accommodate the excess wajas or decrease your number of wajas to be within your limit somehow, the wandering wajas will be released to the OWF cave permanently 7 days after they started wandering. It is important to note here that wajas that you are transferring to other people will still count towards the total wajas in your cave until the other person accepts the waja into their cave.

When you have wajas wandering, you will be presented with a bright red warning at the top of your page at all times informing you of the problem. The wajas that are wandering will also have a red message on them saying they are wandering and by what date you must accommodate them before they will wander away.

Related History
Sometimes people write in their waja's description something like "if this waja wanders into your cave, please return to ______". It comes from a time when waja transfers were first introduced. Waja transfers are a function on Wajas that lets you transfer a waja to another player. However, for a while it was a bit buggy, and occasionally when you transferred a waja it would end up in some random person's account instead of the one you meant to send it to. This bug was fixed a long time ago, but it made people a bit paranoid that it could happen again ( or could occur via other bugs) so people started putting those notices in their waja's description.

Sorting

Beneath cave rules are options for how your wajas are displayed in your cave. This includes:

  • What wajas will be sorted by (Name, Age, Breed, Title, Gender, Generation)
  • What direction they will be sorted in (ascending or descending)
  • How many wajas are shown per page (10,25,50,75, or 100)
