Muddy Wajas

From The Wajas Wiki

"Muddy" is a general term used to describe a waja with low markings and an overall appearance that is murky, dull, and unattractive. The wajas themselves are called "Muddies", "Mudballs (usually for one's with a large number of markings)", or "Muds" (none of which should be confused with the actual Mud marking). Usually they are brown or gray, but it is perfectly possible for them to be a murky shade of any color. It is also technically possible for a waja with all 100 markings to be a muddy if it fits the other qualifications; it just isn't as common.

Muddies are not to be confused with fades. Fades are wajas that have non-100 markings but are still considered attractive despite (or even because of) the faded markings because their markings are still clear and/or they blend well together. Whether or not a waja qualifies as a muddy (as opposed to a fade) is partially up to personal opinion. It takes time and experience for players to get a feel for whether a waja will be viewed as muddy or faded by the general player base.

Muddy wajas are generally the result of poor breeding. They are considered fairly worthless and a waste of server space by most users, so they are more often than not OWFed. However, there are some users who make projects or challenges out of improving on muddy wajas. They do this by creatively dyeing the waja, or by breeding the waja properly to eventually create a good looking offspring.

As previously stated, whether or not a waja is considered muddy will vary from person to person as it is, in the end, based on personal opinion. If you want to know whether or not a given waja is considered muddy by other users, you can always ask on the Help Forum. Below are some examples of wajas that would generally be considered muddy.
