Retiring a waja makes it so it cannot be bred or traded. You get 5k for retiring the waja. You generally retire a waja when you no longer wish to breed them or trade them; if you do wish to breed or trade them some more, do NOT retire them, because retiring is permanent!
To retire a waja: go to the waja's page, go to the bottom, click the "Retire" tab, check the white box, and click "retire".
